Growin up too fast!

Well I said a while ago that I live with a little imitator and he does it more and more everyday. He now gets ready for work with me. We brush our hair and teeth together along with him watching mommy put in her contacts. He helps me cook dinner and pack my lunch. He also spent a lot of the weekend with his Uncle Matt and Aunt Heather who have taught him how to point to his eye and say I then cross his arms across his chest and say love and then point at you and say you. He sometimes will skip over the love part and go straight to you. He also did a great job at dinner of using his spoon. Something that we have been working on a long long long long time (actually it feels like eternity) but you know he didn't pick up anything and put it in his mouth till he was 16 months old so that explains the lack of spoon usage. He just amazes me everyday at how big he is getting.

Kendra is getting to be a little miss indepenant thing. Chris informed me last night that she has gotten herself to where she can pull herself up onto her knees! She isn't crawling on her hands and knees yet but she gets up and rocks back and forth. It won't be long and she will be walking all over the place. She also can get herself up into a sitting position whenever she wants. She really likes to sit up in her bed and stick her little feet out of the bars of the crib. Next up for her is learning how to jump in her crib like a monkey like Ephriam does. I tell you that she is going to give her big brother a run for his money soon. At least though she does still want to be held. Something that Ephriam gave up not to long after he figured out how to get from place to place on his own. So I hope that she stays that way because I would really like a cuddler for a little bit longer.

So that is the most recent updates with the kids. I will try and post pictures of baptism on Sunday before youth group.

Pictures!

Here are pictures of the kids that I have been promising. The top one is Ephriam sleeping in his chair while he ate lunch. Then there is the kids posing together from the camera. Then there is the princess sleeping (mommy loves to take pictures of her babes sleeping) Then Ephriam is hamming it up for the camera and last but not least is K.C. on the move! Yes that is her army crawling it.

Sleepyheads

Ephriam and Kendra are recovering from their weekends. Today they slept in till 11:30 which is over 2 hours later then when they normally get up. And they are still tired. Kendra is down for her morning nap and Ephriam is finishing up his lunch before he heads down for his nap and mommy goes and lays down and rest for a little while. So today it is all about sleeping.

The Imitator

Today I was telling Ephriam to put something back in the dishwasher and he wasn't doing a good job of listening so I pointed my finger at him and told him he was testing the wrong person. Well he turned around and pointed his finger back at me and he did it in his own little way where he was looking at his finger as he did it. He sure is definately the Imitator. One thing that I wish he was imitate is going potty. He is getting a little more interested everyday but still isn't sure what to think. He has learn to say potty and poop but he has yet to use the potty himself. He has started throwing himself on the ground when he knows that he has a poopy diaper so hopefully he will start using the potty so that we don't have to change any. We will see what happens.

Kendra is still into everything and is getting better and better everyday about getting herself around. She made her way into the kitchen today to and we getting on Ephriam's food catching mat. We have to watch her though because she is good at putting things in her mouth unlike her big brother at her age. He never wanted to do that that until he was over 16 months old. She is so ahead of the game. In a couple of weeks we are going to have her baptism. I wonder how she will react with so many people in her house. We will see. Well off to change over laundry again.

Army Crawling

This weekend Miss Kendra decided that it was time to be on the move and has started army crawling for things that she wants to get. I am sure that it won't be long before she is really crawling all around on her hands and knees since she can get up on all fours she just hasn't figured out how to move from that position yet. She may be like her big brother and skip that crawling and go straight to cruising the furniture. Ephriam didn't crawl on all fours till after he could walk. Hopefully later this afternoon I will be able to post new pictures of the kids for now I need to get as much sleep as possible because I have to go back into work tonight.

Hungry Hippo

K.C. has finally cut her bottom 2 teeth! Hip Hip Hooray! Now she is an eating maniac since she was fickle about how much she was going to eat sometimes. This morning she took a bottle for Chris' family (they all took turns trying to feed her) and then came home an hour later and had a full meal. After we got Ephriam she was ready for another full meal. That makes 3 whole meals today which she hasn't done for like a week now. She is a growing girl.

Ephriam is Ephriam. He is such a blessing. He is so well behaved that sometimes I don't believe that he his mine! He is going to be a great big brother to Kendra. She hopefully is learning lots from him and his behavior. He had fits last night as I got ready for work even though I didn't have to leave for an hour and half. He knows what is going on but Chris says he is fine about 30 seconds after I leave.

So that is what is up with the kids now time for a nap for mommy since the kids are down.

PS I AM EXCITED THAT MY PARENTS ARE COMING IN LATE TONIGHT!

Almost Over.... I hope

K.C. is almost done getting her first teeth I think. I felt a little bit of a tooth today and she has eaten the better today then she has in a long time. I am hoping that around 10:30 she will be hungry enough to really eat another good meal for me. She started out great today with 2 full meals but her last meal was only a half one. She is being a little trooper and hanging in there.

Ephriam is doing great too. He has been playing well by himself and he recent thing is he likes to watch TV. I am try to limit his TV time since he is so little and I would like to see him use his imagination. I know that he really likes to be outside. Today while Chris shoveled the driveway he got to go out and play for a little while. I was so cold out that he didn't last long but I think that the fresh air did him some good. When it gets to be warmer outside we will spend more time out there. For now we are pretty well locked in the house.

Both of them for now have colds. Although it seems like they are getting better. I sure hope that they are by Friday when Nana and Grandpaw come in. I know that Ephriam will be excited to see them. We will then get to see them the weekend of March 4th and then for the week of March 30th. It will be great to spend time with them and have Easter with them. So that is life with the Walker Children.

Teething Nightmare

K.C. is getting her first teeth and has been a holy night mare! She didn't take many naps today and has been up several times at night. She is working on at least her bottom 2 teeth and possibly the top 2 teeth. I hope that tonight we have a better night with her. I am sure that once those teeth come in that she will be a princess again. Ephriam was a much better teether. I was teasing Chris that she has had his pain tolerance since we know that mine is high. He wasn't finding me very funny but I was just kidding him. Well off to bed for some sleep for the night. Looking forward to posting more soon. Peace.
